The seminar with Endo Shihan over the week end of April 3-5, 2009, was a great success.
Aikidoka came from as far away as San Diego and Washington DC, as well as from Canada and Sweden. Endo Sensei reminded us all that we should not be doing aikido like robots, but instead should always be awake and pay attention. He encouraged us to "check ourselves", to notice how the connection between uke and nage is being maintained, and to be aware of how this feels. Sensei plans on coming back again next year, when he will be doing an around the world tour starting in Europe, going on to Canada, and finishing up in Seattle, the weekend of April 16-17, 2010. Stay tuned for further information about next year's seminar.
